Her Story
October was a busy month for Kim. She really never wanted to go out when Teng asks her to - even for a movie date, a nice jog around their community, a dinner-date, a road-trip or even a short escapade somewhere north/south. It seems that she has been craving for some good rest since forever. Whenever she finds time, all she wants to do is cuddle up, and sleep.
A friend texted her one night asking for a get-together. Kim thought for a second and lied. She said she has this seminar to attend so she couldn't come. This doesn't stop her friend from asking over and over. So Kim said she has work instead - which is the truth. Her production system is having an upgrade, and she has to be there as escalation. Her friend persisted and did an emotional blackmail to her so that she could come. It worked.
Kim left her weekend work too early. It was October 14, 2012 when Kim meet-up with her friends in Starbucks Coffee, Libis to discuss their upcoming trip to Vietnam-Cambodia. In the middle of their conversation, a friend craves for some isaw and qwek-qwek so they said they should go and visit UP.
Kim: Mag-iisaw ka lang gusto mo pa UP, ang dami dyan sa tabi oh.
Marivic: Eh parang nammimiss ko ang UP eh.
Off they go to UP CBA, their home college and reminisce college days. They took pictures and did several poses infront of BA's stair and on the ever famous BA symbol - the revolving gun. Then Kim's friend suggested to do a 'Diliman Campus tour', they rode a TOKI jeep (Kim never had a chance to ride a TOKI jeep during her college days - YES this is really true - despite her having UP blood).
On the process of riding the TOKI, the driver says: "Kayo ba yung susunduin ko? Meron ako susunduin eh, lima daw. Isang mataba at isang nakaitim. Kayo na siguro yun" Kim had this bubble thought on her - "why do mamang driver needs to fetch us?" Her friends kept her busy remembering the days when they were doing Campus exploration wayback 2008 so she won't realize anything.
Then they arrived UP Main Library - there were balloons and petals. As Kim walks, her friends are pushing her towards where the balloons and petals were set-up. Then Kim saw her friends lined-up holding a rose.
His Story
Kim once told Teng that she wanted her friends to be there when Teng has decided to ask Kim about marriage. Teng remembers and so months before, Teng already contacted Kim's friends and his friends and told them that he will pop the big question 14th of October 2012.
Nothing really special on that date but just really want to propose to Kim before their upcoming trip to Japan. He thinks that is the best time because on the coming days, both he and Kim will be really busy with their work schedule. So before their schedule becomes hectic, he wanted to take the opportunity to propose to Kim.
With the help of some friends: Kim's and Teng's HP team mates (who coordinated and planned), Teng's College Barkada (who did the photos and videos), Kim's College friends (kasabwat) and Kim's HS Friends (surprise guests), Teng was able to pull-off his surprise proposal.

They did several meetings, occular inspections, acquired necessary permits, cancelled some of their appointments just for the sake of seamless coordination and planning, spent some time and resources just to make the event successful.
